The people over at mmo-champ got a request from Blizzard to remove the content, which they did, so there’s no more screenshots on the site .

Requirements:
Just Cause 2 demo (duh)
Cheat Engine

Note: Only works on PC…

Tutorial:
Step1: When you’re playing Just Cause 2, make the demo timer start by jumping down the camp.
Step2: Go to your PDA and write down or memorize the countdown.
Step3: Alt Tab to cheat engine. In cheat engine, select the Just Cause 2 exe , and set Scan Type to: Unkown initial value and Value type to 4 bytes. Then click on: New Scan.
Step4: When it’s done scanning play Just Cause 2 for a couple of seconds, and go to the PDA, now the countdown should’ve lowered. Eg: It was: 23:33 and it now is 23:20. So when you’re in Cheat Engine, set the Scan type to:  Increased value by… Now, when you done that, check how many  seconds have passed. In my example it would be 13. So in Value: fill in the amount of seconds passed, Eg: 13.
Step5: Click on Next Scan.
Step6: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you find the correct value, usually an address starting with ’1A5′.
Step7: When you’ve found the correct value, double click it and check the Frozen box.
Step8: Alt-Tab back into Just Cause 2 and continue playing

To bad for the pc games still back at Windows XP, Just Cause 2 won’t work. Mainly because it doesn’t support Dx9 anymore, so that makes XP useless. Maybe a reason for those of you back at XP to upgrade to Windows 7? But I suggest most of you already left XP behind..

God of War 3 is supposed to go on sale on march 19th (EU). The game’s gone gold so this means that the game’s gonna be out on time.

In Darksiders you play as War, one of the four Horsemen. The major gameplay elements include some simple puzzles, killing off mobs and which also could be useful, is to grab some Soul Chests along the way. It might sound booring, but no, it is not. You play in a large world in which you can run around freely. You start out with just one sword but along the way you gain new weapons and you can purchase new skills by using Souls. 

The game both looks, and plays good. Yes, it has some performance issues but it could be worse. The game is pretty long, on the first run on normal difficulty it took me around 15 hours to beat the game. I’m definitely going to play through it again to get some trophies I missed on the first run and just to keep myself amused.

Darksiders is a game you will enjoy. Wow, that’s a bad one-liner. 

By the way: For those of you still unsure wether to buy the game or not, on February 25th there’ll be a demo on PSN & Xbox live. The demo will be around 90 minutes long.

Hello hypervisor, I’m geohot

I have read/write access to the entire system memory, and HV level access to the processor. In other words, I have hacked the PS3. The rest is just software. And reversing. I have a lot of reversing ahead of me, as I now have dumps of LV0 and LV1. I’ve also dumped the NAND without removing it or a modchip.

3 years, 2 months, 11 days…thats a pretty secure system

Took 5 weeks, 3 in Boston, 2 here, very simple hardware cleverly applied, and some not so simple software.

Shout out to George Kharrat from iPhoneMod Brasil for giving me this PS3 a year and a half ago to hack. Sorry it took me so long

As far as the exploit goes, I’m not revealing it yet. The theory isn’t really patchable, but they can make implementations much harder. Also, for obvious reasons I can’t post dumps. I’m hoping to find the decryption keys and post them, but they may be embedded in hardware. Hopefully keys are setup like the iPhone’s KBAG.
